WRE '13 Schedule of Events & Regulations

Kicking off the 2013 WRE Season has me excited beyond words. To have been blessed for the third time planning and hosting the pinnacle RIP series of motor racing has me speechless... good thing I can still type.




Month 1 (Tuesday June 18th through July 9th, 2013) WRE '13 450 Series I

- Cars to be selected from 450 pp GT model Coupes and Sedans. Front engine - rear wheel drive only. 1575 - 1675 kg preferred.


- Tracks to be posted in advance for member practice.

- No tuning or parts permitted, sports hard tires will be restrictions set.

- Laps per race set by length of track. Plan on finishing three races each week, three different tracks will be raced upon each evening.

- Private lobby format, with friend invites permitted.


Month 2 (July 16th through August 6th, 2013) WRE '13 450 Series II

- Cars to be used will be front wheel drive hot hatches. Europe, American and Japanese only.



- 450 pp with all parts and tuning permitted. Sports Medium Tires only.


- Tracks to be posted well in advance for member practice.

- Laps per race set by length of track. Plan on finishing three races each week, three different tracks will be raced upon each evening.

- Private lobby format, with friend invites permitted.


Month 3 (August 13th through September 3rd, 2013 WRE `13 550 Series I

- Cars to be utilized will be selected from 550 pp vintage muscle and the following... Mustang GT 05, 07 and Cobra R, Camaro SS 10, Challenger 08, NO COBRAs, VETTES or VIPERS. Also excluded are European and Australian Models. Clarification can be supplied by posting the car you plan on using within the weekly post.

- 550 pp, all parts and tuning is permitted. Sports Soft Tires only.

- Tracks to be posted well in advance for member practice.

- Laps per race set by length of track. Plan on finishing three races each week, three different tracks will be raced upon each evening.

- Private lobby format, with friend invites permitted.


Month 4 (September 10th through October 1st, 2013) WRE `13 600 Series I

- Cars will be open choice, all models and drive-line configurations permitted.

- This will be an all out 600 pp championship series, all parts and tuning permitted. Racing Hard Tires only.

- Tracks to be posted well in advance for member practice.

- Laps per race set by length of track. Plan on finishing three races each week, three different tracks will be raced upon each evening.

- Private lobby format, with friend invites permitted.

Good job Poke. I'm also excited about the return of WRE for Tuesday nights. Man.... it's been TOO long!

I just looked through the premium cars to see what is available for the 450 fr GT series. I found 10 cars that fit, but 3 are with a caviot.

these 3 are under wieght, but also lower on pp. A few of the other cars are a bit over on pp, or will be after break-in.
I find a few more standard models that fit, but selection is limited for this first spec series. Research will pay off this time, so do your homework!

Well, I thought that I would stick it out with the Jag right from the start. I am going to stick with the XK and see just how well I can do. Hope to see a diverse group of cars out there.

Deadman did his homework alright, thoe are the cars I found raced closest and each has it's own strengths on different racks.

Since we will be racing in private lounge i am deciding to return points if we have a decent turn out, maybe say week three we can go with points.

The underweight cars will not be permitted, 1575 to I believe 1675 bing the highest (Skyline?) can't remmber now.

XK is 1690.

Ah ok i thought s. the ceiling will be fairly open, though i don't want less than 1575kg.
