PostSubject: RIP on the Links   Wed Jun 16 2010, 15:22

Lately a few of us have been hitting the greens playing Tiger Woods 10. It's a nice break from the pavement. I'll tell ya now, Queen is frickin' good.

I know a few Ripsters have already expressed their dislike for chasing a ball, but I've played online with at least 6 RIP drivers and we have a great time. I played a threesome with 2 other DeadAces team members. We played a few rounds and racing never came up in chat...at all. It was fun.

You can make private rooms in TW '10 and matching is fast. I think you can make your own tournys too. I have'nt played with that feature yet.

Shall we add a RIP golf night?

I think I better tag along on those lessons misschrissy. Oh wait, I've seen Ace in action..you're safe.

But seriously, I'll tee up anytime.

Get your guy built up alittle with the challenges. After a round or after some of the challenges, you'll get skill challenges from Hank Haney. Do all of them. You can build up quicker.

Ya, it's TW10 we're talking of. I decided to go with TW10, since a few of us Ripsters are not going to upgrade to TW11. I got it from Ebay new in box for $30 shipped. When I'm able to kick DeadAces golfers rear then time for TW11. My golf instructor has promised to help me reaching my goal in 6 weeks. DeadAces be prepared

Ace...

Take the game out of the box. Put the game in your ps3. Look at the skill level of your golfer. You suck.....lol

Actually, you can still get a winning score with low skill level. Just work on your swing. You don't have to hit it like Tiger to get a birdie.

Last night was the 1st Golf session ever and was great, just a couple of incidents that were not expected. I had already explained the water hazardous on the other thread and 2nd accident was with those tall trees, if misschrissy and B J recall what I said about noises distracted me... besides the helicopter and ducks noises there were birds calling out for mates or whatever it was, that really bugged me. I couldn't find the BB gun in the caddy I usually carry for thing like this; I had no other choices but to use the golf balls and scare the birds away. It worked, after 3 hits were no birds left in those trees.
MissChrissy, after you left, BJ and I had a 10 holes game and the result was much better, my score was higher his being 60 mine was 75 or something like that, I beat him by 15, not bad huh

Had a good round of TW10 earlier. This was done using only a driver . a 5 iron , a sand wedge , and a putter. I tried to get the "bare essentials" trophy, but it did not give it to me ! Hmm,i think you have to be online to do this, not sure.

BTW- My other half was playing the role of Colin Montgomerie. Not a bad round for him either

Please disregard misschrissy's post showing her round of 51.

She kicked my behind with a 48 last night. Damn.

I was drooling by the time she hit her fifth eagle.

Great round madame..lol
