This information regarding how you navigate around the track may come in handy for other racers that will be at the same track. I will compile the info as you provide 'em. Thanks!!!Smile

Any future plan to get a wheel?

BTW, I know u have a 'vette for HSR-R, we have to get together sometime soon before next update. I set one up on R1 tires and I like it, "like on rails" as you say it. Laughing

I use a controller also. Steering with left joystick acceleration/braking with right. Up/down shifts with right side triggers. Can't find a way to be comfortable with a wheel, though left foot braking must help quite a bit into turns.

3D I'm already confused with your configuration. Embarassed Laughing Laughing

I like to keep it simple so I bought a wheel. I step on gas pedal to go, I turn wheel to the left to follow looping left curves and I step on brake pedal once in a while, sometimes unintentionally. Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

Controller here, use R2 for gas and allows some modulation. I am competitive but I know with a wheel I would be very fast.

but it would be nice to be able to hold it at 60% throttle and 80% turn radius for an indefinite amount of time.. it would make my corners so much smoother and my thumbs would not be killing me after 40 laps.. LOL

The inexpensive Logitech Driving Force GT will save your thumb from getting real bad case of athritis. I think its worth the early investment now instead of waiting for your Senior Citizen discount. Laughing Laughing Laughing Razz Razz Razz

I've had 2 Driving Force GT's, one the padel upshift started jumping 2 gears at a time the 2nd one started jumping 2 gears on the down shift, but i do alot of racing, used to only race GT5, but then got into F1CE, put almost 100,000 miles on first one before it started messing up, 2nd one got almost 90,000 miles, after the 2nd one, i decided to just spend the money and got a G-27, i like it but cant use padel shift with GT5, have to use the gear shift, can only use padel shift with F1CE

Zero, that's a lot of miles!! Shocked I'm still on my first DFGT but unlike you, I don't do a lot of racing. I know SuicideKing will be needing a new wheel soon. Sad

Well when I raced with you guys I have always used a controller, and I even wonder how in the world do I keep up with you guys. I would have placed probably top 10 in the GT5 time challenge if not for the lack of a wheel. I had top 50 for awhile until the wheel crew came in hahahaha. But when I get GT5 I WILL get a wheel so i can keep up hahaha especially with craig.
