| Hello RIP and Friends! As some of you may know, my wife has slowly been losing her vision for the last several years. As a result she has not been able to work and has recently begun to feel restless. As a young girl in Ireland, she learned how to hand knit sweaters from her mother, who learned from hers and so on. In a recent chat with Str8Flush1, I brought up this very subject with the holiday season in mind. After disscussing with my wife whether she would like to make one, she asked if anyone would be interested in buying some from her. I told her I would ask, so here goes.
Hand Knit Authentic Irish Fishing Sweaters
Perfect as gifts or just to keep yourself warm, these sweaters are well known the world over as a practical way to go outdoors in comfort.
Normaly these hand made sweaters, offered as souvenirs for tourists to Donegal, sell for 90-150 Euros. Pauline is willing to make them for you guys at $75 each.
Just send me your request for sweaters in a PM to me here in forum. She would need to know your height and usual clothing size. Most any color is available and they are machine washable. Any questions can be asked freely here in this post.
Any interest at all would be appreciated, she tries to get $100 for each but, you guys are like family to us.
Thanks for your time,
3-Diamonds

| I want one 3-D. I normally wear size medium in sweaters and I'm 5'5" and 155 lbs (short, dark and handsome lol). Is personal check for payment ok? I can send cash too if preferred. Can I have it in RIPS team color, black and red, mostly black tho with a tad of red. Thanks in advance Pauline | |

| Thank you so much for posting the pics for me Ace. It sure makes it easier for people to see them, as opposed to my vauge and somewhat foggy description. Pauline tells me that she would not be able to add stitching to the sweaters. The sweaters are made by repeating from memory a set pattern learned a long time ago. AoS asked about multi-color patterns, but this would be limited to available wool dye lots. The muli-colored sweater in the photos was made with a color called 'fusion' and is representitive of what a multi-color sweater would look like. | |

| Clubs, for some reason darn reason I just cannot go to sleep. I laid there after I sent you my last text, wide awake. It's prolly cuz either I'm too tired to go to sleep or I have been staying up with you quite a bit. It's probably the later one, lol.
3D, single color is fine with me. I like to light colored sweater. What color is it, white or something else? | |

| AoS's sweater is just about ready. The choice of solid black will make for a stunning 'geansai'. (Gaelic for sweater) I hope he can post a picture of him wearing it once received.

| Your sweater should be in the mail this week, Spades. Let us know if it fits ok! I'll try to get it to the post office today, I have bankers hours though and may have to duck in during work hours. Pauline is working on Club's sweater now. Pockets are on and it is going along quickly. Will have to aquire more wool though. Let us know when you would like Pauline to begin a grey one Joker! She would need to know your height and weight, as well as your usual size worn. The picture of you is hard to discern how big of a guy you are. | |
