| I believe production is readily available to the public by a manufacturer. Kind of like back in the old NASCAR days, they would make 500 cars to classify it a production car. | |

| Ah, therein lies the problem. Toyota made exactly two GT-One 'production' cars for homonalization. Porsche's 911 GT1, Mercedes' CLK-GTR, even Nissan's R390 were all made, but nowhere near in the numbers to call a production car. The new Veyron is merely an unobtainable engineering exercise. Same goes for all other 'one ofs' that won't be duplicated in any serious numbers and shouldn't be driven on the roads. I would say the current fastest would be Ferrari's 599GTO. | |

| Not sure and with no revelation at all, how many 599 GTO's were produced. But one thing for sure tho, is that, it's sold out to a few elitist in the Ferrari car market. Top speed of 208 mph and 0-60 mph in 3.3 secs, that is plenty plenty fast for me. On the flip side, how many of the 599 GTO owners will elect just to garage park their prized cars and not take advantage of what's its capable of. | |

| It is all Unobtainium, but very cool. Let's face it. I am not a Googlnaire and have no means for getting any of these super cars. The coolest super car I every owned was a C5 Z06 that I sold to buy my house . My next car is going to be a 2012 Z28 if GM ever admits to put it into production as it is currently just a rumor. Kind of like GT5 In my opinion a production car is something you can buy from a car manufacturer, it can be registered and insured, and legally driven on the streets. | |

Let me bring it down a few notches closer to the consumers, dealer's showroom. And just like you Ruf, I don't have the $$$ to buy any of those cars BUT just in case I hit the lotto in a huge way and have a few hundreds of thousands $$$ to spare, I would like to be able to purchase one without all the red tapes/hassles of buying a limited production model. It will be simpler to find the car you want in a showroom, buy and drive away with it the SAME day. Now, that's what I call a production car. (as 3D would say) | |

| Spot on Spades. I was disscussing this at work with the boss. If you can't simply buy a new one from a dealer, then it's not really a production car. This is a fun one, as most of the heavy hitters are long out of production. | |
