| To get the licenses you must be in the required level. Example you're at level 13 and got your IA license, to get S license, you must be in level 16.
A- To get to level 16 you must either race in A-Spec or Special Events. B- Can you race at level lower than 13 to earn your credits and GT5 will move you up next level.
My guess answer is No, you have to pass all available lower levels before you can move up the next. (I hate Tuscon, the night thingy, how do I race in the dark lol)
DMH has mentioned do not add anything to the car that you want to participate in a race modified event cuz it will wipe out all the upgrades you did. Is he saying there's a option to purchase a "race modification" package and once you select the option it will automatic install everything?
See answers on next posts --------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to use photo album? Photos are posted on your profile page. When you take a pic, there is a "share with friends" button. That will upload that pic. You can post up to 8 pics online. Pull up a profile of your friends and click on the camera icon to see theirs. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- How to find races? To find the private rooms, go to community and select the friend who is hosting. RIP will tell drivers who is hosting an event. So if it's me, click on BlackJack's icon and it will take you to my commons area.
You'll see a list next to the message board. On the list is an icon of a coffee cup. It will say lounge when you hightlight it. When the lounge is active (somebody in it), click on the coffee cup and it will take you into the private room.
You can also scroll your friends list. If there is a yellow dot next to their cup (it will say "playing"), you can click on the dot and it will take you to the the room they are in.
So far, I've found you can only adjust top speed with gearing.
And lastly, there are no GT5 sanctioned events like GT5P. There may be in the future. It all depends on the updates. Most of the teams and good drivers have retreated to private rooms.

| I'm glad you worked that out...lol.
If you hate the Tuson night thingy, try the Nurburgring night thingy. You'll quit the game forever..lol.
I ran a lap with SK on the ring when it was pitch dark. It was cool to see the glow of his tail lights fade off into the distanct. Then I was all alone...in the dark..in the woods......scary
I think I saw bigfoot. I'm glad he didn't enter course with me.
Side note......I suck at rally

| Yes, if you buy a car that can be race modified, do that first.
You'll get all the body upgrades (except 1), exhaust upgrade, tranny upgrade....and so on.
You'll just have to add more power and tires.

| My S/C 400 HP 150 MPH (I'll up the top a little more) 69 Camaro has most of the upgrades except for the body kit. It was so much easier with the mods when you do the muscle car championship. | |

| The way I aproached it was to go as far with the licences as I could. Then I ran specials until I got to the next level I needed to run another licence. At some point (around level 18 or 19) you will need to start clearing out your A-spec events to finish out.
Clubs, under GT service section all the way to the right is the race mod option. It gets you 80% of the way to a full car.
If you need to see better at night, hit pause and under options there is a place to adjust your map scale and positioning. You can adjust the brightness up there. Might help.
When you run the top gear test track event with the lotus, be sure to use the skid recovery force. It's fairly undrivable without it.

| Great info DMH. So far I've had the skid recovery mode on and depends some of races I had traction on at default 5 or reduced to 0 or 3.
I'm going to move this thread to GT5 as FQA

| The Nurburgring is just flat out dark. Night racing on other courses is different because they have lamps/lights. The ring is like driving through a back road, I feel like the boogey man is going to jump out. Just make sure your high beams are on and not your low beams. | |

| As BJ said, I either might just as well quit the game forever or ask my lady holding a high power spot light Once, I joined a rally night thingy it was way up top of a mountain (pitch dark) didn't do too bad because my co-pilot kept reminding me not to be affraid of bogeyman or bigfoot It was a tough race, you need to locate check points in the dark on top of a mountain (your suspension & brakes better work well or else lol) you then have to reach check points at the time specified, can't get there before or after and can't stop the car either. | |

| yeh the line does help, at nite ,as ,well as snow, whiteout-conditions, and rain.to be behind or beside a car in weather is impossible to see. itll take a while to get used to it. ive been trying all combos to get acclimated. i like snow, dirt is to be desired, karts are kool everywhere. if you like suspense, try route 7 weather in fastest car.i tried it in a blizzard...the only bad thing is the word, weather, it gives secret storm away, F1 didnt give you the luxury of knowing,LOL | |

| Yeh the key to effectively racing at night,is that you have to know the track like the back of your hand so that you always know what is ahead, not an easy task but fun!!! | |
