Cool jam, pokey. There's a game for ps3 called Rocksmith. It's kinda like Guitar Hero, but with a real guitar. Comes with a cord to go from the axe to the system and has some cool tunes to jam with. I got it for $60 on sale. Think it was $80 normally. Fun game.
Was that an improv riff, or something you're working on?

It's based on a riff I've played for a lonnnng time, but I changed it suddenly during the recording. The solo's are based on the changes I made, and are improvised.

I have a 1990 Ibanez RG570 that I hotrodded with active eletronics and a couple of active EMG89 double humbuckers. I also had the frets lazer leveled to drop the action to just off the fretboard. It's so close that I get a fret buzz off the "F" against the headstock on the high E. lol.
I also have a Washburn acoustic and a cheap Ibanez bass that I picked up for $75 to mess around with. Nice Eppi you got there bro.

Nice guitar Dead. One of my band-mates had that same guitar (back in the day). Here's a picture of mine.

Bought this back in 2004. I wouldn't mind swapping the pick-ups to seymour duncans or Gibby '59's. I already changed the stock tuners to Gibson Delux's.

Here's my first "test blues improv" to see the quality of upload from my BlackBerry. This is a blues lick in "E".

I'll try to get that down Poker. It may take me a few tries to be comfortable with it. Thanks for the information.

I don't own any instruments. Was never coordinated enough to do such things. I indulged Chloe on a gutair once, but she rapidly lost intrest. I guess music gotta run in the soul for one to want to pursue it.

I got my first "Mickey Mouse" plastic guitar (six stringed) when I was four. I started playing seriously when I was 9.
Yeah, the BlackBerry does a good job on close-up photos! Actually very surprised. I've actually found out that I have a rare Epiphone Les Paul, made in 2004 and the finish was discontinued. It's called Tiger Maple Natural finish.
Not like Epiphone will be worth a lot of money in 50 years, but at least mine will be more collectible than most of them. Either way, it's a nice piece of wood to look at, and it plays great. It cost me 549.00 plus tax in 2004, and the pieces have gone down for new ones (American anyway).

Great taste!
Wood is important on guitars or almost any instruments, it has a lot to do with how it sounds.
