Well, just start off slow, figure cut back to a half pack a day. That should equate to an easy half second a lap, right?

On a good day I'm already there at half a pack. It is definitely the next thing on the chopping block...

It's tough as hell. I quit cold turkey twice! Smoked from 16 till I was 21, then got totaly stupid and started back up when I was 25. Quit for the LAST time at 30.

I knew I had it kicked when I had the flu and couldn't breathe plain ol air, yet forund myself trying to choke down a cig anyway. I got so disgusted with what I was doing to myself I marched over to the neighbor's and chucked the rest of that pack to her.

"You can have 'em. I'm F'n done!"

Lol. Haven't touched one again in over 12 years! The ONLY way you can ever quit a vice is to decide for yourself that it just ain't worth it! No one can convince you but yourself.

GJ Dead. I myself couldn't make it through a day right now without an occasional smoke. At some point, I'm sure I'll quit, but I don't feel the need to right now.

Very well done Dead. I'll tell ya, quitting drinking was about 10 times easier than it will be to quit smoking, lol!

Well, GJ to you too Poke for managing to quit the drinking. Never really got into that scene myself, but have seen some really sad cases. What was that old saying? 'Everything in moderation.....'?

Yes, I really never used to drink, it just got too easy. I don't believe I was an alcoholic, but it was affecting my family; so goodbye! lol. I still drink on occasion, but it's rare. Thanks for the compliments.
