2013 GT500 is one sweet piece!

I hope Chrysler continues to even BUILD the Challenger. As the largest car in the group it'll always be a bit behind in the handling (and we all know that's all that REALLY matters) but was always cool as the comfortable cruiser that had the power to back it's self up on the street.

You know, now that I think about it, there was a Moter Trend test of the GT500 vs the SRT8, and wouldn't you know that even though the Shelby handed the Dodge its scalp in every acceleration test (those were the days the Ford was limited to 155) Angus declared the winner based on comfort, poise, handling, and well...after all....it's just the better all around car....now where have we seen that again?

Supposingly there rumors saying Chrysler will stop production of the Challenger and replace it with a Barracuda.

That doesn't bother me at all! Seeing the Cuda would be sweet. Now if they hadn't scrapped Pontiac, we would be seeing the GTO in retro styling!

Well, leave it to the clowns in marketing to decide that they can sell more if they call it the 'cuda! All they're going to do is piss off everyone by killing the Dodge to resurrect a nameplate from the already dead Plymouth.

All we need now is for GM to decide that gee, a Trans-Am sure would be cool......


Ford has continually made the Mustang since '65. They were first to the market, and have enjoyed strong sales year in, year out. Even the Mustang II enjoyed explosive first year sales and was considered a hit. It's only now that we look back in the tainted mirror of performance that we dismiss those cars.

Kinda glad I didn't mention the Trans-am now, lol. I actually liked the colour scheme on the Trans-Am. lol.

the ford mustang gt 500 has allways been one of the hottest muscle cars of any generation . i have seen the gt500 touch off with a vette . the mustang left the vette standing ashamed . and side by side i think the camaro would fall as well . and im a chevy guy . lol . you cant deny the power and style of the ford mustang . a true modern classic . 3D i feel what sayin bro .

Why thank you 1Eye. And yes Bust, that was 195+ with just over a mile of accelerating in less than optimal conditions.

More to the point is the fact that the car ranks among the most powerful cars available, and can accelerate with enough force to challenge cars much more expensive.
