Daytona 500 ideas

tossed this around with Crazy-8 yesterday....How bout we run a race with CAUTIONS...if theres a MULTI-CAR wreck, EVERYONE HITS PIT ROAD. WHEN YOUR PIT IS OVER, PULL OUT SINGLE FILE BETWEEN TRI-OVAL AND TURN 1 ,WHEN LAST DRIVER EXITS PIT, LEADER PACECAR SINGLE FILE TO T1. RACE RESUMES.. Crazy-8 suggested that we have option to pit or not to pit. i'm tryn to keep it simple and easy for all to complete the whole race and have a great time. i've raced enough to see that theres ALWAYS a wreck,LOL this could be helpful and fun for RIP events on ovals as the closing rates are much faster. if you win this race ,you'll have 'played the game' .... if this sounds goo to you, post a good time for all to attend and we'll set this up.....5

As for cautions, I would leave the pit optional. Leader will slow down to 50mph, everyone else can bunch up behind.

all i know is i want in on the daytona race , if their is a qualifer let me know . any rules are fine with me, the needs of the many outway the needs of the few, mob rules , you know what i mean lol.

Most RIPs have stated that Mondays are their best night for racing. I would be more than happy to place the Carnival on hold for a week if needed.

thats good, pits are optional, as long as we all attempt to remain on the lead lap. i'm thinkn it'll be about 2 - 2 1/2 hour race. if theres no problems,maybe try monday,whatever day thats good for hopefully filling the field.if monday feb 28th is good for all , then monday 28th it is!!!! all in?

I guess you'd better ask the left coasters how early they can get there and the other(note:I didn't say RIGHT, lol) coasters how late they're willing to stay. We could run the Pepsi 400 instead. (160 laps)

LOL DMH!!! that sounds good "Coke Zero" 400 is is. we could work our way up to 500, whatever way we go will be an exciting race. Crazy wants to throw some in points somehow that would make it interesting as well. Heck, wanna start a NASCAR series to fill in wherever we need a race? just another thought.....
