FORMULA 1 F2007 or 2010 Tuesday challenge

i wanted to try a formula one single night event, with 4 tracks. First motegi superspeedway 20 laps, second, spa 10 laps, third fuji speedway gt 10 laps, and ending at twin ring motegi 10 laps.

The race would be held with racing mediums or softs, ill do testing on sunday for best tire choice.
im debating if or if not to use tcs, im thinking we might get more takers if we dont focus on being so hardcore purist. id like to hear some ideas if this sounds like fun, then lets make it happen, but lets make sure and keep it so we can get as many rips on the grid as possible, thanks for looking

Sounds great, although I don't have the Motegi circuits. Definately TC for F1.

ok well adjust tacks if needed, no problem. i had some other f1 tracks i was thinkn bout 2, any suggestions, let me know.

Cool, it's your show. 10 laps at Le Sarthe might be a bit longer than those other races though. It's been a while since I've driven them, so it'll be fun to get back into it.

Yeah, we'll need the electronic goodies (aides) for this bad boy. More to real life with near 1000 screaming horses tethered to 4 wheels and a bit of carbon fibre to hold it all together!

yeah, 10 laps might be a bit long compaired to the other races. maybe 5 laps instead.

The cars are perfectly drivable with-out driving aids on. Once you open it up to all aids being on, that's when the line between driver and car get blurred. If you feel you need TC on, I can see that, but it will detract from the over-all experience of the Ferrari F1 car.

Don't be afraid of the car, it WILL do what you ask of it. Anyone remember Black Jacks F1 series? We didn't use any aids for that, and it was amazing!

yes 5 laps would be more sensible for Sarthe sounds good, and 3d opening up tc is not opening up all driver aides, sorry to confuse you. tcs and abs only. its for one night not a series. Im fine with no tcs ive been practicing without it, but i just want to keep open a bigger window for people who might be an f1 ace.

Sure RD, no problem. F1 allows the use of TC for launch control up to 100KPH. From there on it's all up to the driver. For a single season they used total TC with automatically shifted gearboxes, but it was soon disallowed by the FIA. These days they have worked out a so-called 'seamless' gearchange 'box that 'preloads' each gear and shifts in half the time they used to. Something crazy like 60 milliseconds....

Well, it indeed was under maintenance last night but would not be a problem for a few of us. A lot of fun all night long.
