Heads Up

Well, the big day is upon us....Str8 is going to be going through eye surgery tomorrow to have cataracts removed....the right eye will be done tomorrow, the left eye on the 21st. While there are risks, we are optimistic he'll continue to keep racing with you guys....WITHOUT GLASSES!!!!.....lol....anyway, I just thought I'd give everyone a heads-up.

Thank you very much for letting us know Queen. I told him last night I would keep him in my thoughts. Looking forward to having him back on the track soon!

So far so good.... Right eye has been operated on and we see the Dr tomorrow for a follow up. He says he's gonna try running tonight with only seeing out of the left eye. He says there's nothing to worry about, he does use his head when he is racin'. We are still here at the hospital just waiting for them to decide that he is ready to go home BUT he wants to go to the cafeteria before we go back to the house. Not sure how far they will let me take that wheelchair so he can go for a quick smoke before he eats.... Oh well, he may have to wait for that cigarette till we get home.

Ahh, just light up in the waiting room... Good to hear that it went well. And he did fine racing last night.

I race with both eyes but just one hand. One eye and both hands shouldn't be an issue :-)

Well, here we are again. Waiting to go in for surgery to have the left eye done. Str8 said he has prayed for this day all his life and a lifelong prayer is about to be answered. Watch out y'all... After he is completely healed up he will be coming for ya, so make sure you take advantage of it now and win all ya can. LOL J/K. All is good but this may also help improve his driving as well since he will be able to see finally WITHOUT glasses.
