PSN Down

I believe after this downtime is over, and online gaming thru PSN is restored, we are gonna be shelling out some $$$ to play in the very near future. I HOPE NOT!!!!!

Pay? Are out-of-your-*#@!&%^-mind! They would see a tremendous drop off of online gamers if we all had to pay for it. No no, don't even THINK of that. At $60 a game, not to mention the add on packs, online service to use, let alone the high priced system itself, asking people to pay would be like raising taxes in an already struggling economy...... wait..... son of a...............

I've been using this down time wisely (concerning gt5).I've been tuning up all my street cars getting them ready.hey admins where's my tune shop?has it gotten deleted?

I have no ideas how Joker's shop disappeared, thought I saw it just a few days ago?

Anyway, I built a new shop for Joker with 4 lifts and a huge Neon sign that glows in the dark

So, how many days has this been? Has this ever happened before? If so, for how long? Was it as long as this? In the year or so I've been on the PS3, I don't recall ever having so long a wait for 'maintenance' to be compleated.

Do we have any concrete answers to these questions? Or mere speculation? I would check the other site links, but they all seem to be chock full of pessimistic clowns who have nothing better to do that complain.

Looking for guidance from my more technically savy teammates here. Is this something that could happen frequently?

I've lost count of the days.

This has never happened before. It is the first security breach for PSN. There has been scheduled maintainance before, but never for a long a period or during usual hours of play.

Hopefully when Sony is done, it'll be another few years before they are hacked again....

Thank you SK, I hope that this will end real soon. It's funny, but I usually race offline while not practicing for events. But I almost always pop by the chat to keep in touch with whoever is around. Last few days, all I've been thinking of is racing with live people. When this is over, we need to make sure we can all get together for a run-what-cha-brung event. Maybe even a shuffle race!

Shuffle sounds fun. But with no differential in cars. I don't like the wide PP variety. Sounds good.

I like the sound of that, been checking every few hours to see if I could get signed on.... I have lost count of the days myself but I will be glad for some TEAM racing as soon as we all can.

Looks like Tuesday is the projected date to be back online IF they are 100% comfortable with their new servers.

If u look wayyyy up, tuesday is when some functionality will be restored, or should. We'll see just what goes down.

If Sony is willing to spend a few extra bucks they can prevent this from happening again. At my work once every 3 months we have hardware’s and software’s scanned thoroughly by the professional, antivirus up to date, double layer firewalls. All hardware’s and connections are redundant etc..... It cost $$$ yes but you save big buck in long run. We're not allowed to have any major services completely down like Sony.

its good to see you all been so active in the game.i to have been . i finished all the licenses on my alan 1 file. all gold except for 2 of them .but they will be mine.also did the rallys. some of them are quite tough actually. also mopping up some of the events i skipped on the way through the first time.oh and lots of housework,damn come on sony lets do this.i know its expensive but the money you pull in .... just lets go , daddys gettin ancey!

Looks like they are rolling it back out this week. From what I read earlier it will begin Tuesday. Most likely Western regions will be on first then moving East. I guess we'll see.
