RIP Advancement Division
Mission Statement
The RIP Advancement Division (RAD) is the feeder series for the RIP Elite Division (RED). These are drivers that have an interest in moving to the RED (RIP Elite Division) series. They have shown the aptitude required to be a great RIP driver.
This division is composed of new RIP members interested in switching from a solo race experience to a race team enviroment. Interested applicants may not have the skills to be proficient at all levels, but they must demonstrate good manners on the track and a strong desire to improve. These drivers are inducted to the team by recommendation of RIP Elite Division racers because of the potential they have shown in public races.
The purpose of the RAD series is to ensure that RIP is right for the drivers as much as the drivers are right for RIP. Advancement division drivers (RAD) will use this time to familiarize themselves with the other members of the team, along with the RIP way of racing.
There will be a special series of Weekly Racing Events (WRE's) just for this division that will put them up against other new members as well as some of the racers from the elite division. The WRE's for this series will be run under slightly more restricted conditions than the elite division. Members of the RAD series are ineligible to compete in the RED weekly events, but are welcome at all other RIP organized events.
RAD racers who show they have the "RIP stuff" will then be asked to enter the RIP Elite Division. They may utilize any of the vast resources and information stored in the RIP depository. Everything from car setups and tuning advice to the best racing lines at a track are just a click away at the team's website. RAD racers can also ask for direct advice from RED drivers. Every RAD racer should strive to keep RIP as the "friendliest and coolest" team in GT5.
